Pig Production - What the Textbooks Don't Tell You
Pig Production - What the Textbooks Don't Tell You
Author(s): John GaddOne of the most widely-read magazine columns on pig production has been the 15 year series of "What the Textbooks Don't Tell You About " in the magazine Pig Progress.
The author, John Gadd, an internationally recognised pig consultant with over 40 years experience of pig farm advisory work, writes about some subjects which he considers are insufficiently covered in the many textbooks but which exist on pig production. Sometimes excluded through lack of space, sometimes lacking an economic interpretation, or possibly considered by the textbook's author as being too minor to include in his main theme, the subjects chosen for discussion are important nevertheless to the practical hands-on farmer.
The author stresses that this book is complementary to most pig textbooks, and not a substitute for them.
Subjects taken from the "What the Textbooks Don't Tell You About " series of articles have been completely revised and updated, and several new topics, previously not discussed, have been added.
